SZN should be gentle for everyone.
Calm design and accessible design are the same project, as far as we're concerned.
What we aim for
We're working towards WCAG 2.2 AA. We're not claiming full conformance yet — we'd rather tell you honestly where we are.
What's already in place
- Readable type sizes with generous line spacing.
- Colour contrast checked across every seasonal palette.
- Touch targets of at least 44px throughout the app.
- Semantic headings, landmarks and a skip-to-content link.
- Alternative text on meaningful imagery.
- Keyboard-operable navigation and forms with visible focus.
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
Motion
Buddy animation is deliberately slow and small, and respects your system's reduced-motion setting.
Known gaps
Some seasonal artwork carries decorative detail that screen readers skip, and a few longer forms are still being reviewed for label clarity.
